About the event
Sugar & Spice is a comedy show brought to you by the award-nominated international comedian Waylene Beukes, and comic and 5FM presenter Leah Jazz. The pair bring a smorgasbord of flavour to the stage, taking audiences on spicy journey across the country. The hilarious duo offer insight into the small-town girl to city-slicker pipeline, with flat tyres, stolen phones and tons of heartbreak along the way. They’ll have you in stitches with stories about border control, guilty feminism and what it looks like when you’ve made it in life. Very sweet and incredibly saucy, this two-man show will have you coming back for seconds.
Leah Jazz is the hilarious host of 5 After Hours on 5FM, weeknights from 10pm-1am. Talking all things sex, love & pleasure with the nation, her brazen outlook on the erotic finds a home under the cloak of night, and is boldly brought to the stage in her honest accounts of what life is like before you find the love of your life (and after). Jazz is a force of nature on stage with years of experience of mic in hand, both on stage and on air, and brings a level of confidence is hard to replicate. As a comedian, Jazz has hosted her own shows across the country, told jokes on international stages and appeared in television cameos. She does not play the saxophone.
